SOMETIMES THE FLIP SIDE IS THE HIT

Remember the 45 records – A side the hit song and B side the flip side. But sometimes the flip side became the hit. Here I  am to introduce the other side.

Current events, like this White Power demonstration, is not current at all. It’s a recycled event. Whites fighting for power – there has to be another side. Actually, this is more a human race issue than the sub-Culture of White vs Black.

Think of the bully in the school yard that deep down feels like a victim, big and bad but lacking self esteem. [Why do bullies feel like victims???] Upside down meanings: looking on the surface the big kid takes advantage, but he is lashing out, maybe from parental mistreatment. You know the Hitler story, physically abused as a boy, and later taking it out on the world

The flip side of this outrage are the deeper conversations that are now happening in America’s living rooms and back rooms. “White privilege,” “Covert Racism,” “Race baiting,” etc. It is like the flip sides of the old 45 records, often instrumental versions of the hit songs, not often played, but featuring the more serious music renditions.
